New program at FMS profvides reinforcement for positive behavior
This year at Foley Middle School we are initiating a PBS Program which stands for Positive Behavior Supports. It provides a consistent reinforcement for positive behavior and gives the students incentive to keep the behavior in place.
The incentives this year are given in two areas. The first is for attendance. The students with perfect attendance at mid quarter are allowed to participate in SOHO (Stay Out Hang Out) during their break. At the end of the 9 weeks the students with perfect attendance will be treated to a Skating Party.
The second is for behavior and the student is rewarded each week. If the student does not get an office referral for the week they are allowed out of uniform on Friday. This will start over each 9 weeks. There are other incentives that will be given throughout the year and we as a staff hope that the encouragement and expectations we have placed with our students is seen not only on our campus, but in real life areas as well.
